Upgrade your VW Type 1 ignition system with the PerTronix Flame-Thrower® Vacuum Advance Distributor with integrated Ignitor® electronic ignition. Part No. D186504 combines a stock-look cast distributor design with electronic ignition technology and a vacuum/mechanical advance system for VW Type 1 engines.
The distributor features a lightweight cast aluminum housing, tailored advance curve and Hall Effect triggering for precise ignition timing. Designed for 12-volt negative-ground systems, the integrated Ignitor eliminates mechanical breaker points while keeping the ignition electronics contained within the distributor.
