“Blü” build with SCAT VW parts

Karmann Ghia

Rich Thallheimer shared his Bug named, “Blü,” which had help from Todd Getty and includes SCAT VW parts. Todd rebuilt the top end to a thick-walled 1835cc and dialed in his 36 Dellorto carburetors. He also worked with John Jensen to install the transmission, engine and spring plate bushings and everyone worked together to get the disc brake kit installed.

Blü is running and driving great! SCAT VW 5.5” rods were perfect for my top end rebuild and fan shrouds on my motor. I just ordered some stainless valve covers, too! -Rich T.
