1968 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback

ClassicCars.com shared this 1968 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback. This ride is powered by rebuilt, air-cooled 1,600cc flat-4 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transaxle. The rear-mounted engine contains twin Weber carburetors and a SCAT camshaft.

This ’68 VW was resprayed in Dark Cherry Metallic, given color-matched fiberglass bumpers and had its side moldings shaved. Additional modifications to the 1968 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback include LED front turn signals, color-matching front and rear light bezels and an EMPI exhaust system with quad tips. The interior has black vinyl fold-forward bucket seats, new door panels and an instrument panel color-matched to the exterior.
